2. Digital Nomad Visa (2026) Remote Work
Specifically for Polish remote workers wishing to live in Turkey.
- Income Threshold: You must prove a minimum monthly income of **USD 3,000** or an annual income of USD 36,000.
- Age & Education: Open to Polish citizens aged **21 to 55** who hold a university degree.
- DNIC Certificate: You must first apply for a Digital Nomad Identification Certificate online via the **GoTürkiye** portal before the visa appointment.
- Stay: This allows for a **1-year residence permit**, which can be renewed based on continued eligibility.
3. Residency Permits (e-Ikamet) Mandatory Digital
Effective 2026, all residence permit applications must be initiated through the digital **e-Ikamet** system.
- Application: If staying longer than 90 days, you must apply online within your visa-free period.
- Financial Proof: You must show a bank statement with a minimum monthly balance of approx. **USD 580**.
- Health Insurance: Mandatory Turkish private medical insurance is required for all residency applicants.

4. Border Security & Customs Strict
Turkey enforces strict transparency for cash and personal goods in 2026.
- Tobacco: You can bring up to **400 cigarettes** plus an additional 200 with a specific directive (Total 600).
- Currency: You can import unlimited cash, but you must declare amounts over **USD 10,000** when leaving Turkey.
- Medication: Always carry a Polish doctor's prescription for any personal medications, especially controlled substances.
- Gold/Jewelry: Personal jewelry worth up to **USD 15,000** can be exported. Higher amounts require proof of purchase in Turkey.
