1. Airport Transit Visa Waiver NEW JAN 2026

- No Transit Visa: Indian passport holders no longer need a 'Type A' transit visa for airside connections through German hubs (Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin).
- Condition: You must remain in the international transit area and your connection must be within **24 hours**.

- Proof of Funds: You must show approx. **€1,027 per month** (Total €12,324 for the year) to sustain yourself while job hunting.
- Benefits: You can work up to **20 hours per week** unsponsored while searching for a permanent role.
4. 2026 Customs & Travel Checklist Strict Enforcement
Germany enforces zero-tolerance on specific items at all entry points.
- Financial Proof: For short-term visits, you must show you have at least **€45 (~&rupee;4,300) per day** to spend.
