1. Mandatory UK ETA (Feb 25) No ETA, No Travel
The UK's "No Permission, No Travel" policy is fully enforced from **25 February 2026** for Malaysian citizens.
- Who Needs It: Every Malaysian passport holder visiting for tourism, family, or business for up to 6 months.
- Application: Use the official **UK ETA app** (available on iOS/Android) or GOV.UK. Most decisions are returned in minutes.
- Cost & Validity: It costs **£16** (approx. RM 97) and is valid for **2 years** or until your passport expires.

2. Passport & Dual Citizenship Rules Strict Enforcement
Identity verification has become significantly more digitized in 2026.
- Biometric Passport: Malaysian citizens must use a valid biometric passport. The ETA is digitally linked to this specific passport.
- Dual British Citizens: If you hold both Malaysian and British citizenship, you are **ETA-exempt**. However, you MUST travel on your **British passport** or show a **Certificate of Entitlement** to avoid being denied boarding.

3. 2026 Visitor Permissions Know Your Rights
