1. e-Visa (Tourist & Business) Apply Online
Polish citizens must apply for their visa via the official Indian e-Visa portal at least 4 days before travel.
- No VFS Visit: e-Visa process is entirely digital. You do not need to submit your passport to the Indian Embassy in Warsaw.
- Continuous Stay: For Polish tourists, you can stay up to **90 days** per visit. You do NOT need to register with FRRO for short visits.
- Validity: Validity of e-Tourist visas (1yr/5yr) starts from the date of grant, not the date of entry.
- Boarding Rule: You must carry a printed copy of your Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) at the airport in Poland.
2. Digital Customs Declaration Mandatory
Effective 2026, India has phased out the paper arrival card and integrated customs with the **Air Suvidha** platform.
- Pre-Submission: All international arrivals must fill out their customs declaration digitally via the Air Suvidha app or website before landing.
- Duty-Free Limit: For Polish tourists, the duty-free allowance for personal effects is **₹15,000** (approx. 700 PLN).
- Baggage Rules: You can bring up to **2 litres** of alcohol and **100 cigarettes** (previously 200) under 2026 duty-free rules.
3. Biometric Fast-Track 2026 Perk
India’s top 10 airports (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, etc.) now feature automated biometric kiosks for e-Visa holders.
- Registration: On your first entry, you will be fingerprinted and photographed at a manual counter.
- Fast-Track: Subsequent visits within the same visa period allow you to use **Self-Service Kiosks** to clear immigration faster.
- Facial Recognition: New for 2026, the **DigiYatra** technology is being expanded to international arrivals for seamless terminal navigation.
4. Border Security & Customs Strict
Indian border force enforces strict regulations on currency and prohibited technology.
- Satellite Phones: Carrying satellite phones (e.g., Thuraya, Iridium) into India is strictly illegal and may lead to detention.
- Currency: You must declare if you are carrying cash or monetary instruments exceeding **USD 10,000** (approx. 40,000 PLN).
- Drones: Importing drones into India is generally prohibited without prior permission from the DGCA.
- Yellow Fever: If you have recently traveled to a Yellow Fever risk country, you MUST produce a valid vaccination certificate.
