UK Entry Portal 2026

From **25 February 2026**, all Polish citizens need a UK ETA to travel for tourism or business.

• No ETA, No Travel: Carriers (Airlines, Eurostar, Ferries) are legally required to deny boarding if you don't have an approved ETA.
• 2026 Fee Hike: The application fee has increased from £16 to **£20** to cover enhanced biometric vetting.
• Validity: Valid for **2 years** or until your passport expires. You can stay for up to 6 months per visit.
• Apply Early: Most decisions are made in minutes, but it's recommended to apply at least **3 days** before travel.

Post-Brexit, Polish citizens must meet strict points-based requirements for employment.

• Minimum Salary: As of 2026, the standard salary threshold is now **£41,700** per year (up from £26,200 previously).
• Skill Level: Most sponsorable roles must now be at **RQF Level 6** (Graduate level) or higher.
• IHS Fee: Mandatory Immigration Health Surcharge of **£1,035 per year** allows access to the NHS.
• e-Visa: Polish citizens now receive a digital-only **eVisa**. You must create a UKVI account to prove your right to work.

Dual nationals face specific identity checks under 2026 border protocols.

• The "Polish Exit" Rule: If you are a dual national, you MUST exit Poland using your Polish passport or ID card. Polish border guards may refuse exit if you only show a British passport.
• UK Entry: From 25 February 2026, dual British citizens must show a valid British passport or Certificate of Entitlement to avoid boarding rejections.
• Settled Status: If you are a Polish citizen with **Settled/Pre-Settled Status**, you do NOT need an ETA.

UK Border Force enforces strict regulations on goods and biometric entry.

• ePassport Gates: Polish citizens (12+) can use automated eGates at all major airports (LHR, LGW, MAN) for faster clearance.
• Currency: You must declare any cash or monetary instruments exceeding **£10,000** (or equivalent).
• Banned Goods: It is illegal to bring meat, dairy, or certain plants from Poland into Great Britain.
