• Francophone Boost: Outside of Quebec, the target for French-speaking PR admissions has increased to **9.5%** for 2026.
• In-Canada Transition: There is a major push to transition **33,000 temporary workers** already in Canada to PR status by the end of 2027.

Applying from Turkey requires extensive proof of personal and financial ties.

• Proof of Funds: For a 2-week visit, a solo traveler is recommended to show **CAD $4,000 - $5,000** in liquid assets (e.g., bank statements).
• Biometrics: Mandatory for applicants aged 14–79. The fee is **CAD $85** and collection is typically via VFS Global centers.
