1. Visa Process & VFS Centres Mandatory Submission
Turkish ordinary and special passport holders MUST obtain a visa. Only Diplomatic passports are exempt.
- VFS Submission: Applications are accepted at VFS Global offices in **Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, and Gaziantep**.

2. The UK Transit ETA Alert Important 2026 Update
If flying to Ireland via London or Manchester, a major rule change applies on **25 February 2026**.
- Mandatory ETA: Turkish citizens transiting through the UK (even airside) will likely require a **UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA)** from this date.
