1. Schengen Visa & Financial Mandate Required
Turkish ordinary passport holders must apply through **VFS Global**.
- Passport Validity: Must be issued within the last 10 years and valid for at least **3 months** beyond your planned return.
- Financial Proof: Last 3 months' stamped bank statements (SGK hizmet dökümü recommended for employees).
- Daily Funds: You must prove access to at least **PLN 75 - 100 per day** for your stay in Poland.
- Medical Insurance: Mandatory coverage of at least **€30,000** valid for all 29 Schengen countries.
2. Entry/Exit System (EES) Transition Mandatory
Poland is transitioning to 100% digital border checks with full implementation by **10 April 2026**.
- Digital Registration: On arrival, your facial image and fingerprints will be captured at automated kiosks.
- No More Stamps: Manual passport stamping is being phased out; the system will automatically track your 90/180-day stay.
- Overstay Alerts: Any overstay will be digitally flagged, impacting future visa applications instantly.
3. Internal Schengen Border Controls Until 4 April 2026
Poland has extended temporary checks on land borders due to security and migration pressure.
- Active Checks: Spot checks are in effect for those entering Poland from **Germany and Lithuania** until at least **4 April 2026**.
- Travel ID: Even when traveling between Schengen countries (e.g., Berlin to Warsaw), you MUST carry your physical Turkish passport.
- Delays: Expect potential delays of **20–40 minutes** at major rail and road crossings.
4. 2026 Customs & Prohibited Goods Strict Vetting
Customs rules are strictly enforced at major airports like Warsaw Chopin (WAW).
- Currency: Cash or monetary instruments exceeding **€10,000** must be declared upon arrival.
- Food Alert: Strictly NO meat or dairy products from outside the EU. Homemade Turkish snacks (sucuk, peynir) will be confiscated.
- Minors: Travelers under 18 with only one parent require a notarized consent letter in English/Polish from the absent parent.
