1. Mandatory $250 Visa Integrity Fee Important Jan 2026
Turkish citizens are subject to the new non-waivable integrity fee introduced in late 2025.
- The Fee: A mandatory **$250 Visa Integrity Fee** is now due upon visa issuance for nearly all nonimmigrant categories.
- Total Cost: Standard MRV fee ($185) + Integrity fee ($250) = **$435** total per person.
- Refundability: Potentially refundable if you follow all rules and depart within **5 days** of visa expiry.
- Exemptions: Immigrant visa applicants and official government travelers (A/G visas) are generally exempt.
2. Expanded Vetting & Social Media Mandatory Public
New security protocols for 2026 require higher transparency for specific visa types.
- Public Profiles: Applicants for **H-1B, F, M, or J** visas must set all social media accounts to **"Public"** to facilitate vetting.
- Proclamation 10998: Effective **January 1, 2026**, stricter scrutiny applies to nationals of 39 countries to protect US security.

3. World Cup "FIFA PASS" Fast Track Option
If traveling for the 2026 World Cup, you can opt for expedited processing.
- What is it? A voluntary opt-in process for ticket holders to get an **expedited visa interview**.
- Requirement: You must have a valid 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket and choose "Yes" when asked if you are a ticket holder during application.
- Accuracy: Your DS-160 name and passport number must match your ticket data exactly.
- No Guarantee: A ticket does NOT guarantee visa approval or admission at the border.
4. 2026 Customs Checklist Strict Enforcement
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers conduct the final inspection at the port of entry.
- I-94 Fee: The digital I-94 arrival record fee has increased from $6 to **$24**.
- Currency: You MUST declare cash or monetary instruments exceeding **$10,000 USD**.
- Food Alert: Strictly NO fresh fruit, vegetables, or uncertified meat products from Turkey.
