Starting **January 1, 2026**, Pakistan has reverted to the older e-Visa system for most residents.
- Emirati Citizens: You continue to receive a visa on arrival at Pakistani airports.

2. Pre-Clearance "Domestic" Travel New Technology

- Mobile Registration (PTA): You can use your UAE-purchased phone for **60 days** without tax. After that, you must register the IMEI via the PTA portal and pay the applicable tax.
- Indian Nationals in UAE: Residents with Indian passports must apply for their Pakistan visa at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi at least **6 weeks** in advance; the fee is just **AED 5**.
