1. Passport & Residency Rules Visa-Waiver
Entry rules depend entirely on your passport nationality.
- Emirati Citizens: You do NOT need a visa for visits up to **90 days** in any 180-day period.
- UAE Residents (Expats): If you hold a passport from an eligible country (and have a valid US, UK, or Schengen visa), you can apply for a **3-minute eVisa** online.
- Sticker Visa: If not eligible for eVisa, you must apply for a sticker visa via **Gateway/VFS Global** in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
- Passport: Must be valid for at least **150 days** (approx. 5 months) from your date of entry.
2. 2026 Digital Nomad Pathway New for 2026
Turkey has fully launched its Digital Nomad program for remote workers.
- Income Rule: You must prove a monthly income of at least **$3,000 USD** or an annual income of **$36,000 USD**.
- Age: Open to remote workers between the ages of **21 and 55**.
- Application: First, register on the official **GoTürkiye Digital Nomad** platform to get your Identification Certificate.
- University Degree: You must be a university graduate to qualify for this specific category.
3. 2026 Customs Overhaul Strict Enforcement
As of **6 February 2026**, Turkey has abolished simplified customs for non-commercial imports.
- E-commerce Ban: The previous €30 limit for simplified customs has been abolished. All e-commerce imports now require regular customs declarations.
- Tobacco/Alcohol: Duty-free allowance includes **200 cigarettes** (approx. 1 carton) and **1 litre** of spirits (over 22% ABV).
- Pets: Up to **2 pets** (cats, dogs, or birds) are allowed if they have a medical report and vaccination certificate.
- Mobile Phones: One personal phone per 3 calendar years can be brought in duty-free. It must be registered to the passenger's ID.
4. 2026 Financial & Proof Rules Mandatory

- Proof of Funds: You may be asked to show bank statements for the last **3 to 6 months**.
- Accommodation: Confirmed hotel bookings or a letter of invitation is essential.
